Disclaimer, Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES PART OF YOUR CONTRACT FOR TRAVEL‑RELATED SERVICES. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
By registering for travel‑related services, submitting any payment, and/or participating in travel arranged by Scopia LLC (“Scopia LLC”), the traveler (including any person registering or paying on behalf of others) acknowledges and agrees as follows:
Agency Role:
Scopia LLC acts solely as an agent for independent third‑party suppliers that provide travel‑related services, including air carriers, cruise lines, hotels, transportation providers, and tour operators (“Suppliers”). Scopia LLC does not own, operate, manage, or control any Supplier and is not responsible for their acts or omissions.
Supplier Responsibility & Release:
Scopia LLC is not responsible for the negligence, willful misconduct, failure to perform, insolvency, or default of any Supplier, including any failure to comply with local, state, federal, or international laws (such as the Americans with Disabilities Act). Scopia LLC is not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or expense arising from the acts or omissions of any Supplier, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the traveler releases and agrees to hold harmless Scopia LLC and its owners, employees, agents, and contractors from any claims or liabilities arising out of or related to travel‑related services arranged by Scopia LLC.
Assumption of Risk:
Travel involves inherent risks, including illness, injury, accident, death, crime, terrorism, transportation delays, weather events, natural disasters, pandemics, governmental actions, and changes to local conditions. Traveler knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with travel, whether known or unknown.
Binding Effect and Reliance:
The person registering or submitting payment represents that they are authorized to act on behalf of all travelers in their party. All travelers are bound by these terms, whether or not each traveler personally completes a registration form or submits payment. Scopia LLC is entitled to rely on the information provided during registration and payment and has no obligation to verify whether any traveler personally reviewed the brochure or received the terms from another party.
Traveler Responsibilities:
Traveler is solely responsible for compliance with passport, visa, vaccination, health, and entry requirements, and for monitoring safety and security conditions at all destinations.
Travel Insurance:
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Scopia LLC does not advise on insurance coverage or suitability.
Governing Law:
Any legal action arising from services provided by Scopia LLC shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin and brought exclusively in the courts of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
