Salaam, Shalom and Welcome to Scopia LLC's page for Egypt!
Egypt, with all of its ancient wonders, eagerly awaits your visit with that famous Egyptian smile and a very warm welcome.
I have been selling trips to Egypt for years, and gained a lot of knowledge from this work, but I never took the time to get up from my laptop and travel to visit this land of Pharaohs and the mighty Nile. In November of 2018, after putting it off for years, I finally arrived in Egypt for a week-long visit, to see the sites first hand and inspect the hotels and Nile river cruises. What I found is a country that is not only interesting, with breathtaking historical sites, but also home to people who love to smile and accommodate a travelers every need, beautiful hotels and Nile cruise ships that you just won't want to leave.
Since the revolution of 2011 (known in other countries as the "Arab Spring", tourism to Egypt dropped substantially. The good news is that in 2017 and 2018,the numbers seem to be heading back up, as people begin to feel more comfortable with their personal safety. Wherever I went in Egypt I saw soldiers and policemen at every tourism site, every hotel and almost at every street corner. These people really take security very seriously!
Once you have decided to travel to Egypt, Scopia LLC can offer you a variety of excellent choices, including a few days in Cairo and the surroundings, Nile River cruises, visits to Aswan and Luxor and off-the-beaten track places such as the Faiyum Oasis or the unique "Zabaleen" community which has created a remarkable recycling operation in the hills surrounding Cairo.
Regardless of your choice, one thing is guaranteed - the good people of Travel Plus, my partners in Egypt - will do everything they can to make your visit to Egypt as enjoyable and seamless as possible. Excellent, professional local guides (all licensed Egyptologists), comfortable vehicles for travel, hand-picked hotels and most importantly - lots of information about possibilities for your visit. They really do have an excellent team that can be trusted down to the smallest of details and they will always be there to assist with anything you may need. You're in good hands with Gamal and his team, which is why they have been my choice for an operator in Egypt since the day Scopia LLC was founded.
